Steve Bostelman

STEVE’S HISTORY

Born in Toledo, OH, Steve graduated from Start High School and then moved to Columbia, TN in 1978. He started his career working for a local heating and air conditioning company, learning the basics of installation of HVAC units in both residential and commercial environments. After nine and a half years, Steve moved to Northbridge, CA to work as a sales representative for Kahn Air Conditioning, Inc., where he honed his sales and managerial skills.

In 1996, Steve returned to Columbia to start his own service company focused on quality installation of gutter systems for residential and commercial clients: A-1 Gutter Service. Through the next six years, he built his start-up into a widely-respected service organization, employing over 100 people across three different cities, performing work all over the country. A-1 Gutter Service was then purchased by QI Corporation (a division of Masco Corporation), leading Steve into the next phase of his career: Bostelman Enterprises.

Starting with the purchase of ByPass Auto Sales in 2002, Steve began to expand his reach in Middle Tennessee. Along with pre-owned vehicle dealerships, the newly formed Bostelman Enterprises also managed a small portfolio of commercial properties. Over the course of the next decade, Steve bought or built nine additional dealerships across Middle Tennessee: Airport Auto Sales, ByPass Express Auto Sales, Carmack Auto Sales, Hatcher Lane Auto Sales, Premier Motors, Sandrell’s Used Cars, Truck Center of Columbia, and most recently, Bostelman Automotive of Spring Hill and Southway Auto Sales in Columbia.

During this period of growth, Steve and Bostelman Enterprises were successful in acquiring and managing properties in Lawrence, Maury, Rutherford, and Williamson counties. Today, his holdings comprise more than forty commercial and industrial properties, including a number of partnerships with local business owners and investors. The companies associated with Bostelman Enterprises employ over 150 individuals, bringing jobs and money back into the communities that the business serves.

Incorporated in his partnerships are commercial and residential storage facilities, offering flexible renting options, available climate-controlled units, and secured locations. Steve takes pride in caring for these investments, ensuring that they are friendly, clean, and safe.

In 2010, Steve moved the corporate offices of Bostelman Enterprises to their current home at 610 North Garden Street in Columbia, TN. From here, Steve oversees all of the real estate, automotive, and storage needs of the corporation, continuing his commitment to better his businesses while enhancing the communities he serves. Steve is the father of seven children, one of whom works in the organization with her father, along with Steve’s two brothers, and his niece and nephew.
